Am I covered?

Extended Health Benefits

Many patients have coverage for physiotherapy and massage through a health spending account and/or through their extended benefits provider (EBP).  Each company’s plan is different; please contact your EBP to determine the extent of your coverage.  We request payment after each visit and will provide you with a receipt that can be submitted to your EBP.  Some benefits companies require a doctor’s prescription for you to be reimbursed for treatment.

Alberta Health Services (AHS)

Alberta Health Services provides limited coverage for physiotherapy treatment and typically only for the following conditions: post-fracture, post-surgery, or if you fall into the classification of low income. Public funding for these conditions can only be accessed by those clinics who have a contract with AHS. Bragg Creek Physiotherapy does not have such a contract, therefore your treatment will not be covered by this public funding. However we can still provide treatment for these conditions when paid privately.

Motor Vehicle Insurance

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, please contact your insurance agent before making an appointment for physiotherapy or massage therapy.  Your insurance company will assist you in filing the required documents.  Following your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will advise you on the number of treatments provided for your injury and the period in which they must be completed.  Typically, they provide coverage for physiotherapy, massage therapy, and necessary medical supplies.

Worker's Compensation Board (WCB)

We currently do not have a contract with WCB and unfortunately are unable to provide care for WCB claims.
